Specialized Behavior Intervention provides individualized, evidence-based behavior support designed to address complex behavioral challenges while building meaningful skills that support safety, independence, and quality of life. Services are delivered directly by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and are guided by comprehensive assessment, clinical need, and family priorities.
Specialized Behavior Intervention may include:
Direct BCBA-delivered behavior therapy focused on skill development, including building tolerance, communication, emotional regulation, and adaptive functioning
Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) for complex or high-risk behavior presentations
Development and implementation of individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) designed to address severe behavior challenges while promoting safety and long-term skill development
Crisis prevention and proactive safety supports for individuals exhibiting high-risk behaviors
Desensitization-based intervention to support participation in medical care and community settings for individuals who experience significant barriers to accessing routine services (e.g., doctor visits, dental exams, haircuts)
Interdisciplinary collaboration with teams including Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), and other providers to support behavior reduction and skill development
